Hello my name is Richard Bullock, and I am Heartland Willow.

 A brief bio of myself

I have been playing with sticks 54 out of 57 years I originally learned to build willow through trial and error. I am self taught, using an old sears catalogs as my measurement as my reference book. I once told a lady " that if it was in her Sears Catalog and made out of wood that I would try to make it”. I still hold to that belief today.

 I attended high school and college at Wentworth Military Academy, I then joined the Navy. After my discharge from Navy I found myself in the wood industry and other areas of interest. Such as paper making, pipe organ factory, cabinet maker, bridge carpenter, custom window-builder, and began building willow in the 1980’s 

 I have 3 children, 2 stepchildren, two grand children, 3 dogs, 1 cat, a beloved wife, and a “67” Ford Bronco.

 I have been associated  with, The Iowa State Horticulture Society,   The Iowa State Fair and Reiman Gardens at  Iowa State University, The Artist Emporium, Des Moines IA.., Garden Gate Herbs, Morrison Co.,  The Herbadshery, Casper WY.., The Longbranch Gallery, Mineral Point WI.., Brooks Gallery  Marshalltown, IA.. , Aunt Nancy’s Antiques, Woodland Park, Co
